Having founded Institute for Behavioral Health (IBH) in 2013, Dr. Azadeh Jebelli utilizes years of academic and in-field experience as the agency’s Executive Director. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA in 2000 and then acquired her MA in Behavioral Neuroscience the following year. In 2006, Dr. Jebelli achieved her PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Neuroscience from UCR, which was followed by becoming adjunct faculty at CSUSB’s Department of Psychology through the better part of 2008. By 2011 she had fulfilled all of the requirements for Board Certified Behavior Analyst. From 2008-2013, Dr. Jebelli operated as Inland Regional Center’s Autism Clinical Specialist.
Despite her fundamental role within IBH, Dr. Jebelli remains thoroughly active in the field of autism outside of her position at the agency. Not only is she a member of the California Senate Select Committee on Autism & Related Disorders, she is also a participant of California Autism Professional Training and Information Network (CAPTAIN). This is in addition to organizing conferences and hosting presentations on autism and applied behavior analysis. It is her goal to provide consumers with a personable experience while ensuring that they receive quality services personalized to the needs of the individual.
Heather began her career with IBH in June of 2013 as a Behavior Interventionist. She obtained her
Ben joined IBH in the summer of 2019 following his graduation from UC Riverside’s Doctoral School of Psychology program. Throughout his time at IBH, he has provided a range of services including direct services in the role of a Behavioral Interventionist as well as providing supervision and parent training in the role of Program Supervisor. He is currently a Regional Clinical Director at IBH and continues to support clients in their homes, community, and school settings.
After growing up in Connecticut, Ben received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Vermont in 2011. In 2014, he moved to California and started his doctoral training at UC Riverside. As a graduate student in School Psychology, he completed practica, internship, and other field experiences in various clinical, public school, and non-public school settings. He was privileged to complete an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited pre-doctoral internship with the Santa Barbara Psychology Internship Consortium in the 2018 to 2019 school year working as a School Psychologist in Carpinteria, CA. During his time with IBH, he also completed his post-doctoral supervised fieldwork experiences and became Board Certified in Behavior Analysis in 2021. He is one of IBH’s ambitious BCBAs excited to continue his career as a credentialed School Psychologist and Board Certified Behavioral Analyst, serving clients and communities.
Sarah was born and raised in Southern California. She has always had a passion for helping individuals with special needs. Sarah began to pursue this passion by obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton in 2013. She then began working as a Behavior Interventionist for an in-home ABA provider. Her passion in the field led her to obtain a master’s degree in Counseling from California Baptist University in Riverside, CA in 2016. In August 2016, she joined IBH as a program supervisor overseeing behavior interventionists in the Riverside and Moreno Valley regions. As she continued her career at IBH, she furthered her education in the field of ABA as a behavior analyst and received her Board Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis in March 2022. Sarah currently serves as one of IBH’s Regional Clinical Directors, supervising multiple program supervisors providing ABA services to children, adolescents, and adults up to 28 years of age.
Born and raised in Southern California, particularly San Bernardino, Eddie's early interest in psychology was fueled by his observations of individuals grappling with mental illnesses. The desire to be a source of understanding and support for those struggling became a driving force in his life.
Eddie's academic journey, starting with a bachelor's degree in psychology from California State University, San Bernardino in 2018, demonstrates his commitment to gaining the knowledge necessary to make a meaningful impact. His decision to delve into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as an in-home Behavior Interventionist not only reflects his hands-on approach to helping others but also led to a significant personal revelation—his own neurodivergent identity. This self-discovery adds a unique and empathetic perspective to his professional endeavors.
The admiration and passion Eddie developed for ABA through his experiences as an interventionist are evident in his continued pursuit of excellence. His decision to obtain a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University in 2022 and subsequent certification as a board-certified behavior analyst in 2023 underscores his dedication to professional development and furthering his impact in the field.
Eddie has transformed personal observations into a lifelong mission to improve the lives of those facing mental health challenges. His journey, marked by academic achievements and a deep connection to his work, is a testament to his empathy, resilience, and unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
